| Gene takes a much deserved vacation in Fiji.
While there, the native children are completely taken in by her kindness and
beauty. They offer her a gift of a floral lei made with fragrant blooms found
growing on the island. Gene wears it proudly as she is photographed by the paparazzi
that follow her. Photos of her wearing the lei appear on covers of magazines within
days. The king of a small but wealthy country was so entranced by the image of
Gene wreathed in the blooms that he commissioned this necklace made in her honor.
Materials used include micro seedbeads, mini fiber optic
beads, antique round and flower shaped sequins, vintage beads and pressed flower
shaped beads. The clasp is a flower bead and vine loop closure. Each
necklace set takes hours to create and is absolutely one of a kind.
